Visit to Sarawak Trade and Tourism Office Singapore by the Sarawak Governor and His Wife

Shortly after completing arrival formalities at Seletar Airport this afternoon, His Excellency the Governor of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, and Her Excellency Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah binti Mohd Sanusi, graciously proceeded to make an official visit to the Sarawak Trade and Tourism Office Singapore (STATOS) located at 80 Robinson Road.
Their Excellencies were warmly received by the Chairman of STATOS, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani; Board Member Datu Hii Chang Kee and Mr Charlie Soh; STATOS Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Chew Chang Guan; as well as the entire STATOS team.
Also present were YB Datuk Dr. Annuar bin Rapa’ee, Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development Sarawak, together with his wife Datin Dr. Haniza Zainal Abidin; Dato’ Indera Dr. Azfar Mohammad Mustafar, Malaysian High Commissioner to Singapore and his wife Datin Indera Che Norhayati Soib; as well as Dato’ Fenny Nuli, Director of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Malaysia, Sarawak. The official visit aimed to provide a first-hand look at the functions and operations of STATOS as a key hub promoting Sarawak’s strategic interests in trade, investment, and tourism in the republic and across the Asia-Pacific region.
During a special briefing session, Their Excellencies were taken on a tour of the STATOS gallery and briefed on the Sarawak products showcased there, in addition to receiving explanations on the agency’s role in strengthening trade relations, facilitating investments, and expanding market access for Sarawak products and industries into Singapore and global markets.
Their Excellencies expressed pride in the Sarawak Government’s strategic initiatives through STATOS, which continues to play a proactive role in driving economic growth, promoting local products, and broadening Sarawak’s investment and tourism networks internationally.
