KUCHING: The Sarawak Trade and Tourism Bureau in Singapore (STATOS) estimates that a “We Love Sarawak Kolo Mee” advertising campaign in the republic will have an advertising value of more than S $ 500,000 (approx. RM 1.54 million).
STATOS said the campaign is being carried out in partnership with the supermarket chain 7-Eleven, where the news will be spread across all 425 Singapore stores between April 14th and May 11th this year.
“Anyone who buys Kolo Mee from 7-Eleven can enter their details online with proof of purchase to win a series of double tickets for Sarawak Food Trail tours in Singapore,”

The campaign was not only advertised in all 7-Eleven branches, but could also be followed on Facebook, Instagram, the website https://statos7eleven.statos.com.sg and in outdoor advertising in the STATOS gallery.
The website also advertises the EAT.CHIAK.MAKAN Kuching Food Trail, shows the Sarawak Tourism Board videos and advertises other retail products available for purchase in Singapore.
“We believe that it is our job at STATOS to spread the love for our (Sarawak) special dishes. It is fantastic that we can now use 7-Eleven’s strong branding to generate more promotion for Sarawak in Singapore, ”said Chew Chang Guan, CEO of STATOS.
STATOS is Sarawak’s new initiative to strengthen and develop new trade, investment and tourism links between Singapore, Sarawak and the rest of the world.
