The business-to-consumer fair has attracted 31 exhibitors to date and will promote Sarawak as both an investment and tourism destination to generate sustained interest in Sarawak products and services.
The Fair will be held in Suntec City East Atrium, one of Singapore’s largest malls and an exciting shopping destination nestled in the heart of bustling Marina District with 5 high-rise office towers and will be open daily between 10am and 10pm.
It will highlight six themes: Travel & Tourism; Nature, Adventure & Heritage; People, Culture & Community; Arts, Events & Festivals; Food, Leisure & Entertainment; and Trade, Business, Investment including S-MM2H.
This year’s Fair will have a strong focus on tourism, and STATOS has partnered with six strong travel agents in Singapore to promote Sarawak aggressively in the market. STATOS have planned an extensive publicity program in the lead-up to the event including articles and advertisements in mainstream newspapers, Lianhe Zaobao, Berita Harian and various magazines. The event will also be promoted across various outdoor advertising platforms and social media platforms by key opinion leaders and travel influencers.
Visitors purchasing a tour package during the event will be able to ‘Spin the Wheel’ for prizes worth more than RM 100,000 provided by sponsors. These include: 40 return air tickets with Malaysia Airlines, Scoot and Air Asia to Kuching or Miri; resort and hotel vouchers; discount vouchers for holiday packages and sample products including bird-nest and Sarawak pepper.
Other highlights will include live performances by six-piece Kuching band, ‘Meruked’, playing traditional sounds of Borneo music with a modern twist; displays by ‘Kuching Gastronomical journey’ operators - Foodish Trip; ‘Discover Sarawak on Two Wheels’ by DYRT Academy and ‘Art Jamming’ by renowned artist Gerald Goh.
During the Fair, ambassadors dressed in Sarawak traditional costumes will be walking the streets of Singapore in central areas such as Raffles Place, Marina Bay Sands and Orchard Road to generate interest in visiting the Fair.
