Singapore Food Expo 2022 was held at Singapore Expo Hall 5 from 8th to 11th dec 2022. After a 2-year hiatus due to the pandemic, many exhibitors and visitors are very happy to see the return of the Singapore Food Expo. There were over 100 local and international exhibitors, the event saw more than 500,000 visitors across 4 days. During the 4 days, visitors were introduced to the resources of Sarawak, its tourist attractions, its local food and also their culture. Food from Sarawak , popularly known by visitors were used to create interest and link to the destinations in Sarawak. 3 cities were being focused this time, namely Kuching, Sibu and Miri.
Sarawak information booklet “Discover the Best of Sarawak” , published by statos and produced by Travellution media was distributed freely to visitors. Most visitors, from their feedback , were now more keen to know more and also visit Sarawak as they have little information previously and not aware of what the place can offer as a destination spot.
Queries were answered at the fair while others were referred to statos to follow up. The 2 suppliers for Sarawak products on sale at the fair were fairly satisfied with the overall response and sale of their items.
