1. Empurau fish “忘不了”鱼
The most expensive fish in Malaysia. The authentic Empurau fish has extremely creamy fatty texture and unique flavour from Engkabang fruits, as known as "butter from the forest". It is found exclusively in Sarawak. It cannot be cultivated commercially, so it can only be collected from the wild, thus authentic Empurau must be caught from wild too.
You can find it at some of the restaurant in Singapore too, but we would suggest you to try the most ORIGINAL one in Sarawak, which is normally caught by Sarawak natives from the longest river in Malaysia - Rajang river. It can grow as big as 10kg or even more!

2. Semah fish
Also as known as Tor fish, or Mahseers. Very difficult to breed artificially. The meat is soft and tender, you will feel like it can melt in your mouth! It has high nutrition value, and it is always served as fine dining in restaurant.
鱼肉洁白如雪,肉质细嫩,鱼肉可以在你嘴里融化!它也有相当高的营养价值。常常被用来做高级餐馆的佳肴。
3. Mungalang Fish
Local people also called "red eye fish". It is famous of its rich flavour, and the wonderful texture make it become one of the local favourite.

4. Tengadak Fish
The fish is very sweet. Especially Tengadak fish that is more than 800g, you will be impressed by the sweetness. To find a larger size of Tengadak fish very difficult, because this kind of fish only grow up to 300g per year! So it might take 3-5 years to grow more than 800g.
